The College is:

- A voice for patients and GPs

- A builder of stronger relationships between patients and their doctors

- The standard setter for GP training and licensing

- Working towards revalidation for GPs

- An International relations developer through partnership building and raising standards

- An Education and Continual Professional Development provider

- A courses and events provider

- A producer of publications and a source of information

- A funding and research body

The College isn't:

- A union

- A regulatory body
